Today I will be sharing my review on the Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer . I have worn this quite a few times since buying the product - so I have a pretty good idea how it preforms.
The colour I got was a typical Lynette colour - The Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer in Donut Worry be Happy. This is such a gorgeous fun pink colour. The range does have quite a few colour options - and what I do like about the range is that no top coat is needed. So while I always top coat polish or gel polishes - I didn't when I tested this out. Since I did mention I have worn it quite a few times - I always wore it without top coat. The polish dries amazingly fast - and is dry enough to not make dent marks on it within 20 minutes. Which I think is pretty impressive for a polish without top coat. The brush is on the thicker side - making the polish super easy to apply. I prefer nailpolish brushes like this since it's mostly just one swipe on each nail. The point of the brush is also rounded - making application around the nailbed super duper easy.
Now as I mention in all my wear test posts - I am really rough on nailpolish. I'm a single mom , so cooking cleaning and scrubbing does take it's toll on your nails quicker. And at work I wash my hands a lot since I do work with kids and I use quite a bit of hand sanitizer too. But I will also mention a little hand cream and cuticle balm does help the longevity of the polish too.
Day 1 : Fresh mani that looks perfect.Day 3 : I haven't had any chips yet and the colour was still super shiny
Day 5 : As you can see in the photo above - I did start to get little tip wear and did manage to get a little chip on the middle finger (circled in pink )
Day 7 : I was actually impressed - yes - the nails didn't look 100% perfect anymore (as I started to get a few more chips too as circled in the photo - but for the most part it looked pretty okay still . Yes it wasn't perfect - but I would easily still be comfortable going out with the small chips on my nails.
While it didn't stay perfect for the full 7 days - this lasted pretty well on me. As I mentioned - a little hand cream and cuticle gel / oil / butter will keep the nails and cuticles hydrated and make the colour last longer chip free too. If I skip these steps I did notice my colour would chip quicker .
Will I recommend the polish ? Yes ! I really loved the drying time , the colour and the staying power.
Have you tried any of the Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquers before ??
