While I get as excited as the next person about the new high street collaborations with designers - there are few that match up to my particular tastes and style. I got excited about Versace because the hype was fun but it wasn't me, I was geniunely excited about Mary Katrantzou but knew I couldn't afford it. I'm back in the 'can't afford it' camp for this collection and while I am excited - I know there is no point in getting too happy about it......
This is Martin Margiela for H&M and it launches on the 15th of November. We have been getting little teasers here and there like that DIVINE red dress....see below as this post is so long I split it into two - and there is a gorgeous deep blue as well but this is the first we have seen of the collection.
It features re-makes of the designer's best loved pieces and once offs. Personally? I am loving the red dress......the leather jacket.....the cross over trousers (odd but I do like them), the suited and booted black suit and the rather sexy blue dress. However as being unemployed sucks - I wont be able to afford anything of the collection I have gotten most excited about! Damn!
Mind you - fear not as the collab is meant to feature some 'under a tenner' necklaces too! We haven't had an image of those yet or a glimpse at the new TV ads which have been shot by Sam Taylor Wood no less....but I guess its coming. With ELLE and Vogue the first to reveal glimpses of the new collection with adverts and Grazia being the first weekly to spill the beans with a view of all the pieces - its only a matter of time before everything is out on the table and we can budget/steal/beg our way to the piece of our dreams......
Still though that red dress is divine
