ISRAELIS KICK ASS AND TAKE NAMES

Some months ago when then Prime Minister Sharon decided to pull the settlers out of the Gaza strip I wrote that the old war horse was circling the wagons, preparing for a war he knew was coming and doing what he had to do to protect the civilian population. It looks as if I was right. The ISRAELI ARMY HAS INVADED THE GAZA STRIP searching for a kidnapped Israeli soldier and the fight is on.

As usual when pushed the Palestinians give:

Trying to defuse building tensions, negotiators from the ruling Hamas movement said Tuesday they had accepted a document implicitly recognizing Israel. But two Syrian-based Hamas leaders denied a final deal had been reached. Israel said only freedom for the captive soldier, Cpl. Gilad Shalit, could defuse the crisis, not a political agreement.

But this ploy didn't stop the invasion nor should it have stopped it. The Palestinian leadership are typical of Islamic leaders who figure lies and intrigues are just part of diplomacy and figure that when a country asks for negotiation it is a sign of weakness to be exploited.

My money is on the Israelis..again. And my call to Bush is to NOT put the pressure on the Israelis to back off. It is time this was fought to a conclusion and the Palestinians beaten to total submission. I have read enough about suicide bombers and murdered Israeli children.
